BENNETT, Colo. (KKTV) - Deputies are investigating after they say $1.4 million of Nintendo Switch 2 consoles were recently stolen from a semi-truck.

The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office said they responded to Love’s Truck Stop at 1191 S. 1st St. in Bennett on the morning of June 8, where a semi-truck driver reported his trailer had been broken into during a pre-trip inspection.

Deputies said 2,810 Nintendo Switch 2 consoles, each valued at $499, were stolen from the truck.

According to deputies, the total amount of stolen consoles is estimated to be $1.4 million.

Deputies said the driver reported that he was on the way to a GameStop store in Grapevine, Texas, from Nintendo of America in Redmond, Washington, and the driver said he did not know what was in the truck, only that it was games or toys.

At this time, deputies said they are unsure if the heist occurred in Bennett or in another city where the truck was stopped.

The suspect or suspects could face charges of felony theft valued at $1 million or more and criminal mischief.

Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to contact the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office tip line at 720-874-8477. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
