Ask HN: How important is branding for developer tools

I’m working on DronaHQ, a low-code platform focused on internal tools, admin panels, and workflows — mostly used by engineers and devs who want to build fast.

We’ve spent a lot of time on product and docs, but now we’re wondering: if brand matters at all?

On one hand, devs care about speed, reliability, and docs. On the other, I see tools like Vercel, Supabase, or Postman build huge momentum through brand, community.
