I have extensive experience building software with Python and Javascript (along with their respective frameworks and libraries).
I've built Closedlinks.com which introduces a very simple yet powerful model for secure, anonymous sharing through one-time access links that leave no traceable sender fingerprint. Unlike conventional tools that prioritize persistence and traceability, ClosedLinks is purpose-built for interactions where privacy, control, and non-attribution are essential.
If you want to read more on why I built it and how it works, check out the white paper - https://www.closedlinks.com/white-paper/

I'm looking for a nice job that makes me feel good with what I'm doing.
I am a Dev & Interaction designer hybrid — quite inventive and creative. Now I'm making small litle experiments with funky UI that leverage LLMs under the hood. ↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓ https://llmparty.pixeletes.com ↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑ Contact me at [email protected]

Location: Menlo Park, CA Remote: Yes, or possible hybrid if nearby Willing to relocate: Possibly Technologies: Python, Ruby, C, C++, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, PowerShell, Flask, SQL, PostGIS, Shapely, Unity, Unreal Engine, multiple assembly/machine languages, Windows user code and kernel drivers, Google Maps and other map APIs, geographic and airspace data Résumé/CV: https://resume.geary.com and https://linkedin.geary.com or https://www.linkedin.com/in/michaelgeary/details/experience/ for the full details Email: [email protected] Hi, I'm Michael Geary. I've programmed in many languages and environments over the years. Some of my current interests are: • Aviation and geographic data. For example, airspace and obstacle data importers for Wing; election results and voter information maps for Google; many interactive maps for other companies. • Hardware interfacing. In a way, I am a "full stack" developer, but my stack may involve a front end to a piece of hardware rather than the cloud. I first got into programming via ham radio, so RF hardware remains an interest. • Designing and building APIs. Too often an API is designed by exposing the internals of whatever system provides the API. My philosophy is the opposite: start with the apps. I like to build a series of sample apps before starting on the API. This way I can imagine what API will make those apps and others like them easy to build. • Talk with users! I don't like to sit in a back room cranking out code. I want to make sure it's the right code for what my users need, and that it's easy to maintain and improve as we learn more about what they want. Open to full time or contract. I look forward to talking with you! |

Location: Oregon Remote: true Willing to relocate: false Technologies: lots, but mainly engineers now; i.e. I'm a people manager Résumé/CV: https://www.linkedin.com/in/sethpurcell/ Email: [email protected] I'm a seasoned VP of Engineering / CTO; I've been an exec at startups ranging from pre-seed through Series D where I built a reputation for hiring stellar engineers and iterating on products quickly while maintaining quality, security, and morale. I moved from NYC to Oregon in the pandemic and love it here, so I'm hanging out a shingle as an advisor / coach to founders & CTOs. I specialize in lubricating the critical surface between the dev organization and the rest of the business: - for non-technical founders, I can help you better understand dev management and make good tradeoffs between throughput, quality, security, and team burnout - for technical founders, I can help you get leverage (i.e. build a strong team) so you can step back from the code and focus on building your vision - for CTOs, I can help you better understand and work with your CEO and the rest of the exec team: marketing, sales, ops, finance etc. I bring the perspective of a curious outsider who asks lots of questions, and a strong toolkit for challenging assumptions and clarifying thinking. I absolutely love this work and regularly do it for free, so if you're curious, hit me up for a friendly chat. You can learn a bit more about me at sethpurcell.com |
