Car Design History

As a car-obsessed designer, I spend countless hours browsing the internet, reading anything I can find about car design icons. In doing so, I noticed that I often miss the context of a particular design. Who designed it and how did it relate to other cars of the time? It got me thinking, how cool would it be if you could see all of these cars throughout time with relevant information?

Where the data comes from

It turns out it is very difficult to get a good overview of all the cars designed by these studios. I have spent a couple of hours collecting information from various sources, but mainly Wikipedia, COACHBUILD.com, and carstyling.ru. Because I gathered all the data myself, I am sure I missed some models and some of the information may be incorrect. Don’t hesitate to send a quick message about that!
