• Assign your issue to the new GitHub Copilot coding agent by specifying Copilot as the assignee in your prompt.
• Skip lengthy descriptions—just upload an image with a few words of context.
• Chat to update your issue before creation, or make edits directly in the rendered issue form.
• Switch your template without losing your context—Copilot will reformat it for you.
• Use personal instructions to remind Copilot which repository you usually create issues in.

To get started

• Navigate to the immersive mode of Copilot Chat with an active Copilot license.
• Start your prompt with “Create me an issue for…” and then describe the issue you want to create.
• Review, refine, and click Create.
