A few weeks ago we looked at the CWWK X86-P6 NAS, and specifically a green unit based on the Intel N355 8-core CPU. Now we have the lower-cost Intel N150 4-core unit. When the Intel Core i3 N305 came out, there was an enormous jump between the 4-core and 8-core models, often justifying a large price premium. For these specific N150 units versus the N150, we probably felt less so. So we are going to do a quick review of this version.

Of course, here is the video we did comparing both of the CPU options.

For those who have seen both, the Green unit is the N355 while the Black one is the N150 because we ordered them that way to be able to easily differentiate. If you want to check for these, you can find them on CWWK’s site or on normal reseller sites like AliExpress (affiliate link.) Here is an Amazon Affiliate link to a seller we found there. As always, check with the seller if you want some of the accessories, like the USB fan, and if they are included. CWWK Intel N150 Pocket NAS External Hardware Overview

These systems are absolutley tiny ways to carry 4x M.2 SSD NAS units with you.

There is also only I/O on a single side and then the other features are vents and heatsinks.

Here we have the 12V DC input, two 2.5GbE ports, two USB 3 ports, and then two HDMI ports. A tip if you take this apart is to put the power button back in place before you slide the motherboard assembly back in. Between the two systems, Sam missed this step twice, mostly because the power button can easily fall out of place during the installation.

The top is a heatsink top that just pops in place. Under this is the four M.2 drive array, but it is easy to pop this top off.

Those four screw holes are for an optional fan.

The fan you can get with this is a USB fan which takes up one of the two USB 3 ports.

It works well from a cooling perspective, even it it looks a little odd. To be fair, it probably looks better on the black chassis versus the green one.

On the bottom, we get another standard fan and more heatsink. We also get four rubber feet.
