Earthquake of magnitude 8 strikes off Russia's Kamchatka

July 30 (Reuters) - A magnitude 8 earthquake struck off Russia's Kamchatka on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The quake was shallow and strong enough to cause waves or a tsunami.
