Waveshare has introduced the ESP32-P4-WIFI6, a multimedia development board built around the ESP32-P4 with an integrated ESP32-C6 module. The design supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5/BLE, offering a wide set of human–machine interaction interfaces and hardware expansion capabilities.
The ESP32-P4-WIFI6 combines the processing power of the ESP32-P4 dual-core RISC-V MCU running at 400 MHz with the wireless connectivity of the ESP32-C6, which connects over SDIO to provide Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5. It supports up to 32MB of PSRAM and includes 32MB of onboard NOR flash.

The platform integrates a variety of multimedia and communication interfaces, such as MIPI-CSI with an Image Signal Processor, MIPI-DSI display output, I2S audio, SPI, I2C, UART, TWAI, ADC, and PWM.
In addition, it features a USB 2.0 OTG high-speed port, a microSD card slot using SDIO 3.0, an onboard microphone, and a dedicated header for external speakers. A 40‑pin GPIO expansion header provides additional connectivity and is compatible with some Raspberry Pi Pico HATs.

According to the product page, the ESP32-P4-WIFI6 also supports AI speech interaction. Using its built-in microphone, the board can send audio input to large model platforms such as DeepSeek and Doubao for processing, returning results that can be displayed on a connected DSI screen and played back through a speaker.
Further Information
The standard ESP32-P4-WIFI6 is offered at $13.99, while the ESP32-P4-WIFI6-M, which includes pre-soldered headers, is available for an additional dollar. For developers needing extra components, the ESP32-P4-WIFI6-KIT-A is priced at $25.99 and comes with accessories such as a speaker, an RPi Camera (B), FFC and camera cables, and a USB connection cable.
The ESP32-P4-WIFI6-KIT-B, which expands further with a 10.1‑inch DSI touchscreen display and additional accessories including a DSI cable, adapter cables, and standoffs, is priced at $69.99.
