Gajim 2.3.0

What’s New

Gajim 2.3 comes with a new design featuring Adwaita, a user interface library which provides building blocks for modern adaptive applications. Adwaita is used by many popular projects and provides well-designed elements for Gajim’s user interface.

Gajim 2.3 comes with a fresh new look

With this change, Gajim’s menu bar was integrated into the main window: preferences, account management and related actions are available in the bottom left, while help is available in the top right.

New Preferences and Plugin Management

Gajim offers several plugins for extra functionality. All plugin settings and plugin management are now available through Gajim’s preferences window.

Updated dialogs

Both group chat info and contact info dialogs come with an updated look. These are one of many dialogs which received updates: Preferences, Plugins, Accounts, Features, Server Info, About and many more.

Windows Releases

Windows releases were stuck on Gajim 1.9.5 for a while due to issues with a library Gajim depends on. All these issues have been fixed now, enabling us to provide the most recent versions of Gajim for Windows again 🎉

• Changed maximum input height from 5 to 12 lines
• Preferences: Added setting to hide title bar
