Dear Firefox, a chevron sign usually signifies a nested menu.
In the visual language of software, that little right-pointing arrow (>) is a well-established hieroglyph (had to google to find this was the correct terminology).
It's a promise, "Click me, and a new set of options, a submenu will open".
We see it, we understand it and we don't even have to think about it. That's the beauty of a strong UI convention.
So, when you're navigating Firefox's menu and see More tools, Report broken site and Help...your brain, conditioned by years of digital interactions, expects symmetry. It anticipates another submenu.
But click 'Report broken site' and poof - you're taken away, not to a submenu but directly to an external link.
I clicked it today and it made me think, "Wait, what?"
