An Air India Boeing 787-8, registration VT-ANC performing flight AI-154 from Vienna (Austria) to Delhi (India), was enroute at FL390 about 310nm northwest of Dubai (United Arab Emirates) when the aircraft began to deviate from its assigned flight level, climbing to 35100, then back to 35000 and again to 35125 feet asssociated with the failure of autopilot, autothrust, flight director, autoland, and the degradation of flight controls. The crew was unable to re-engage one of the autopilots and handflew the aircraft for a safe landing on Dubai's runway 12L about 55 minutes later.

The airline reported the aircraft diverted to Dubai due to a suspected technical problem.
