About This Leaderboard - The Road to "1-Person" Billion Dollar Company
I'm a repeat founder who's built a $100MM+ ARR startup the old fashioned way by hiring hundreds of people and raising hundreds of millions of VC funding. I'm now building in AI and many of us in Silicon Valley are now big believers in the idea that Sam Altman put forward:
"We are now confident we know how to build AGI as we have traditionally understood it... There'll soon be a 1-person billion dollar company"This leaderboard tracks all the lean AI Native companies to measure this new trend and how close we actually are to the "1-person" billion dollar startup reality.

The leaderboard is updated weekly as we verify and add new submissions. Companies may be added or removed based on changes in their metrics and qualification criteria.
We verify submissions through multiple sources including public records, company announcements, and direct confirmation from founders or company representatives. All data is cross-referenced for accuracy.
AI Native companies are those that have AI technology at their core, not just as a feature. These companies typically use AI to automate core business processes, enabling high efficiency with minimal human intervention.
The 50-employee limit helps us focus on truly lean operations that demonstrate the potential of AI to enable small teams to achieve outsized results. This aligns with our goal of tracking progress toward the "1-person billion dollar company" vision. We will lower this threshold in the future as AI capabilities continue to improve.
