MotorManage for iPhone: The Motorcycle Maintenance App Riders Asked For

1 hour ago 1

The iOS version is here.

If you've been checking the App Store wondering when MotorManage would finally show up, your wait is over. Starting this week, iPhone users can download the motorcycle maintenance app that Android riders have been using since launch.

MotorManage is a free motorcycle tracker that helps you monitor parts condition, log service history, and never miss maintenance - all while working completely offline. No internet connection required.

But this isn't just about finally being available on iOS. Between the Android launch and now, something important happened: you told us what you actually needed. And we listened.

The iOS version ships with features that didn't exist a week ago - features that came directly from emails, Instagram DMs, and app reviews from riders using MotorManage every day. Parts search. Better onboarding. Dutch localization. UI improvements that make tracking maintenance faster.

This is what happens when you build something people actually use. They tell you what's missing, what's clunky, what could be better. Then you go fix it.

MotorManage is the free iPhone and Android motorcycle maintenance tracker designed specifically for riders who want to monitor every aspect of their bike's health.

The app helps you:

  • Track multiple motorcycles with detailed service history (database of 600+ brands, 45,000+ models)
  • Monitor individual parts condition - chains, tires, brakes, oil, filters, and 50+ components
  • Set custom mileage reminders for maintenance intervals based on your riding habits
  • Log service records with costs, mileage, dates, and notes
  • Work completely offline with automatic cloud sync when you reconnect

The Rebel plan is free forever for up to 2 motorcycles with full features. You'll soon be able to upgrade to the King plan for unlimited bikes and premium analytics.

The iPhone Motorcycle Maintenance App: Built for Riders

If you're coming from other motorcycle apps, you've probably noticed most of them feel like car maintenance trackers with "add motorcycle" tacked on. MotorManage is a true bike maintenance app different from day one.

We've got 600+ motorcycle brands and 45,000+ models in our database. Whether you ride a 1975 Honda CB750, a 2020 Kawasaki Z900, or a 2025 BMW R1300GS, we've got your bike's specs. Year, make, model, engine size, all of it.

The iOS version includes everything that makes MotorManage work:

Offline-first architecture. You can log an oil change in your garage with zero bars of cell signal. Everything syncs automatically when you're back online. I built this because I've tried logging maintenance in parking lots with terrible reception, and waiting for an app to connect while your hands are covered in motor oil is infuriating.

Multi-bike management. One bike or ten, MotorManage handles it. The Rebel plan (free forever) covers two motorcycles with full features. Need more? The King plan gives you unlimited bikes.

The Speedy feature. This one's unique to MotorManage, and iPhone users have been asking about it since we launched. Speedy adjusts your music or podcast volume based on riding speed. Stopped at a red light? Volume drops automatically. Back on the highway doing 70? It rises so you can hear over wind noise. It uses GPS speed data we're already collecting for mileage tracking, which means it's more accurate than your bike's speedometer and doesn't drain extra battery.

No other motorcycle app has this. None. We built it because constantly adjusting volume while riding is annoying and slightly dangerous. Now it happens automatically.

Want to try the only motorcycle app with speed-based volume control? Download MotorManage free and explore the Speedy feature on your first ride.

New Features in the iPhone Motorcycle Tracker: What Riders Asked For

Here's what I've learned in two weeks: riders know what they need better than I do.

I built MotorManage to solve my own problems - forgetting oil changes across multiple bikes, losing service receipts, wondering how much maintenance actually costs. But once real riders started using it daily, they spotted issues I'd completely missed.

Every feature shipping with iOS launch came from your feedback. Every single one that makes this more than just a basic motorcycle logbook app.

Parts Search: Finding Components Fast

This was the number one request from Android users. Let me explain why it matters.

MotorManage tracks parts at three levels: categories (Engine, Brakes, Drivetrain), sub-categories (Brake Pads, Rotors, Calipers), and individual parts (Front Brake Pads - OEM, Rear Brake Pads - EBC). When you've got a bike with 50+ trackable parts, scrolling through the entire list to find spark plugs gets old fast.

Now you can search. Type "spark" and instantly see spark plugs. Type "chain" and get chain, chain slider, chain guard - everything related. It's a small feature that saves annoying seconds every time you log maintenance.

The search works across your entire garage too. If you're like me and have multiple bikes, you can search across all of them at once. Find every bike that needs an oil change. See which bikes have parts reaching replacement intervals. Get the full picture without clicking through bike-by-bike.

Improved Onboarding

This change surprised me. I thought people would just download the app, create an account, and start adding bikes. Turns out, a lot of riders want to see what MotorManage actually does before committing - even to a free app.

The old onboarding went straight to account creation. If you wanted to explore features, you had to sign up first. That felt backwards once people pointed it out.

Now you can browse features before creating an account. Once you're convinced it's worth your time, then you sign up.

We show you real interface screenshots, not generic marketing images. You see the actual parts hierarchy. The actual service log layout. The actual cost analytics dashboard. What you see in onboarding is what you get in the app - no surprises.

If you already know you want MotorManage (maybe a friend recommended it, or you saw it on Reddit), you can skip the intro and go straight to signup. We're not forcing a five-screen tutorial on people who just want to add their bike and start tracking.

Not sure if MotorManage is right for you? Our new onboarding lets you explore features before creating an account. Try it risk-free.

Sync from Home Screen

Android users asked for this within days of launch. Simple request: "Can I force a sync without restarting the app?"

Now you can. Just tap the sync button on your home screen (garage view) and MotorManage syncs immediately

Sync happens automatically in the background anyway, but sometimes you want to force it - maybe you just logged maintenance on your phone and want to see it on your tablet right now. tap the button to refresh, done.

Keyboard and Input Improvements

Small details that add up. When you're entering mileage, the keyboard now defaults to numbers (not letters). When you're logging costs, the decimal point is easier to reach. When you're typing notes, autocorrect works properly.

These sound trivial, but they're not. If you're logging maintenance weekly, every friction point compounds. We fixed the ones riders mentioned.

Going Global: Motorcycle Maintenance App Now in Dutch

MotorManage started as an English-only app because, well, that's the language I speak and it was faster to launch. But motorcycles are global. Riders in Amsterdam and Buenos Aires need maintenance tracking just as much as riders in Austin or Manchester.

Localization has been on the roadmap since day one. With iOS launch, we're starting that journey.

Nederlandse Motorrijders: MotorManage Nu Beschikbaar in Het Nederlands

Dutch is our first non-English language. Why Dutch? Couple of reasons.

First, the Netherlands has a massive motorcycle culture. Between commuters on scooters and touring enthusiasts on big bikes, there's a huge rider population that deserves a native-language maintenance app.

Second, I wanted to make sure translation quality was excellent. Machine translation produces awkward, unusable text. Having native speakers review the Dutch version means it actually sounds natural - not like Google Translate vomited on a settings screen.

If you're a Dutch-speaking rider, you can switch MotorManage to Nederlands today. Every label, every notification, every feature explanation - fully localized.

Spanish and German Coming in Q1 2026

Next up: Spanish and German. Spanish opens up riders across Spain, Latin America, and the massive Spanish-speaking community in the US. German covers Germany, Austria, Switzerland - regions with some of the highest motorcycle ownership rates in Europe.

We're targeting Q1 2026 for both. Same approach as Dutch: native speaker review, quality over speed.

Eventually, we want MotorManage available in every language riders speak. French, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese - if you ride a motorcycle, you should be able to track maintenance in your language. But we're doing it properly, one language at a time, with actual humans checking that translations make sense.

Dutch riders: Download MotorManage in your language today. Spanish and German speakers: We're working on it. Coming early 2026.

Rebel Tier Notifications: Better Free User Experience

We made a small change that matters for free users. The Rebel plan lets you track two motorcycles forever, completely free. But when you tried to add a third bike, the app just said "upgrade to King" and didn't explain why.

Confusing. Frustrating. Poor user experience.

Now when you hit the two-bike limit, MotorManage explains clearly: "Rebel plan includes 2 motorcycles free. Add unlimited bikes by upgrading to King." You see what you're getting with each plan, and you can make an informed decision.

We're not trying to trick people into upgrading. We want you to understand what you get with Rebel (genuinely useful, not crippled) and what King offers (unlimited bikes, premium features). Then you decide what makes sense for your needs.

If two bikes are all you need, stay on Rebel forever. Seriously. We built a generous free tier because we want riders to succeed, not because we're trying to extract money from everyone.

The Speedy Feature: MotorManage's Secret Weapon

Let me talk about Speedy for a minute, because it's the feature nobody else has.

If you listen to music or podcasts while riding, you know the problem. Volume that's perfect at a stoplight is too quiet at highway speed. Volume that's perfect at 70mph is deafening when you slow down for a turn. You're constantly reaching for volume controls, which means taking attention off the road.

Speedy fixes this. It uses GPS data (which we're already collecting for accurate mileage tracking) to detect your speed. As you accelerate, volume increases gradually. As you slow down, volume drops. It happens automatically in the background.

You set your base volume once. Speedy handles the rest. No more fumbling with controls mid-ride. No more risking attention for volume adjustments. It just works.

Here's the kicker: no competitor has this feature. Not one. We built it because we wanted it ourselves, and now it's yours.

Try Speedy on your next ride. You'll wonder how you ever rode without it.

What's Next for the Motorcycle Tracker: Roadmap Preview

We're not stopping here. One big improvement is in progress, and I want to give you a preview.

Better Time-Based Reminders

Some maintenance is mileage-based: oil changes every 3,000 miles, chain lube every 500 miles. Other maintenance is time-based: annual valve adjustments, seasonal coolant changes, six-month brake fluid replacement (even if you haven't ridden much).

Right now, MotorManage handles mileage-based reminders well but time-based reminders less so.

We're fixing that. The next update will give time-based and mileage-based reminders equal weight. MotorManage will remind you when your annual service is due, even if you've only put 1,000 miles on the bike. Weekend riders and seasonal riders will finally have maintenance tracking that fits their usage patterns.

Join Other Riders Using the Free Motorcycle Maintenance App

If you've made it this far, thank you. Seriously. These updates exist because riders like you took the time to email feedback, leave reviews, and tell me what you actually needed.

This is still early days for MotorManage. We're about Three weeks into public availability, just launching iOS, and barely getting started on the roadmap. But we're building this together - you tell me what riders need, I build it.

Start Tracking Your Motorcycle Today

MotorManage is free for up to two motorcycles with the Rebel plan. No credit card required. No time limit. No catches. Just download, add your bike, and start tracking maintenance.

If you need more than two bikes or want advanced features, the King plan gives you unlimited motorcycles and premium analytics. But honestly, try the free tier first. See if it works for you. Most riders stay on Rebel and that's perfectly fine with me.

Free forever for up to 2 motorcycles. Upgrade to King plan anytime for unlimited bikes and premium features.

Stay Updated on New Features

We ship updates regularly - sometimes weekly, sometimes bi-weekly, depending on what we're building. If you want to stay in the loop:

  • Instagram: @motormanage (behind-the-scenes development, feature previews, rider community)
  • Email: Reply to any app notification email - I read everything

Have a Feature Request?

We're listening. If there's something you need that MotorManage doesn't do yet, let us know. Email [email protected] or DM us on Instagram. We read every suggestion.

The best features come from riders who are actually using the app daily. You know what friction points exist because you hit them. Share those insights, and there's a good chance we'll build what you need.

Thanks for being part of this. iOS launch is a big milestone, but it's just the beginning.
