The escalating feud between President Donald Trump and his former political ally, Elon Musk, just went to the highest level — when the former DOGE leader called for the impeachment of the sitting president.
Over the past two days, Musk and Trump have been battling over Trump’s spending bill and a reported $2.4 trillion additional federal debt that it would bring, according to the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office. On Thursday, Musk claimed that the real reason that the Epstein Files have not been released is because Trump is in them — suggesting a federal cover-up.
While Trump’s replies to Musk have been relatively muted compared to his typical insult approach, Musk is raising the stakes. His most recent example was Musk’s agreeing with Ian Miles Cheong, saying “Trump should be impeached and JD Vance should replace him,” to which Musk quoted and replied saying “Yes.”
