Oregon mandated phone-free schools – some parents are being asked to pay

Schools around Oregon are wrestling with how to implement Gov. Tina Kotek’s recently issued executive order prohibiting students from accessing their cellphones at any point during the school day.

And now, at least two Portland high schools are asking families to consider helping to foot the bill.
