TOKYO -- A Japanese startup is building a facility in Osaka prefecture to raise pigs for the purpose of transplanting their organs into humans, eyeing the start of operations in the second half of 2027 with a goal of raising about 100 pigs annually.
PorMedTec will develop systems to help ensure the hygiene of its pigs raised for medical purposes. (PorMedTec)
