Save your Clips videos to your photo library or another location. You can save videos with any effects you might have added in Clips or save individual clips without effects. Then, watch your videos in other apps like Photos or make new videos with individual clips using iMovie or other third-party apps like InShot, VN Video Editor, and GoPro Quik.

Make sure to save as videos, not as projects.

  1. In the Clips app, open the video you want to save.

  2. Tap the Share button at the bottom right.

  3. Tap Options.

  4. Tap Video.

  5. Select other options like the Aspect Ratio.

  6. Tap Done.

  7. Tap a save option:

    • To save the video in your photo library so you can access it in the Photos app, tap Save Video.

    • To choose where you want to save the video, like iCloud Drive or on your device, tap Save to Files, enter a name for the file at the bottom of the screen, then choose a location. Tap Browse at the top left to see more locations.

If you recorded video directly into your Clips project, you can save each original clip without effects.

  1. Open a project.

  2. Tap a clip in the project to select it.

  3. Swipe left on the tools, then tap Save Clip. The clip is saved to your photo library and added to an album called Clips.

If Save Clip is dimmed, then you can find the original clip in your photo library.
