Secret Layers (science fiction)

2 hours ago 2

In the last entry I discussed about the different sub organizations of Illuminati Ganga we found, but that seems to be just the first pass - the public facing organizations under the main umbrella organization. Further research shows there are a lot more sub-organizations under those, or a lot of non-public ones.

These organizations exist as secret layers, like peeling an armadillo, to take a well-known figure of speech from your time.

These organizations are often found in various publications - here are a few we have found

CMD - - Illuminati Ganga's Criminal Management Division, sometimes known as "Command", evidently this organization manages a lot of criminals and criminal enterprises - drug dealing and assassination seem to be frequent mentions. But also the organization runs at least one underground University of Crime, evidently located in a place called "The Beehive State", which just sounds scary.

(Just Look At The State of That, Will You!)

Iambic says she might have met some people in the organization when she was on a mission in some place called Sand Frisco that is inside some other place called California which I've had a class on so I know what that is. She says they were "super sketchy" which means bad, just as I expect they would be.

Despite them not having a real presence on your primary communication layer - the internet - there is some residue data of their passage on Illuminati Gangas many publications.

For example there was some communique regarding snitching which is a bad thing that criminals who were bad people did to other criminals that were bad people. I don't get this part.

Memetics Division - We haven't actually figured out anything yet about this division. It seems to be about monitoring and manipulating social media by using this thing called memetics. Which Iambic says she thought was something to do with funny pictures of cats

There is a lot of this stuff to make connections between, Sausalito says it makes a big graph and she is trying to work out a way to represent it so that we can figure out how many steps there is between any two nodes

If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

Probably do a special long article on this, maybe host it somewhere else.

So for right now - what we're really focusing on is just the time traveling.

The time traveling really has three parts - they write criticisms and articles about time traveling, like travelogs I guess, like they criticize people's stories about time traveling and and they rank what stories are the best, but they also have articles on how stories about time traveling should be read.

Nervé says maybe that is the most important stuff because if they say how stories about time traveling should be read or written it reveals their underlying mental view of what the purpose of time traveling is.

But they also have businesses built up on top of time traveling, which makes sense, time traveling takes a lot of energy, and your time was doing very poorly on energy - for example you didn't have the rings that orbit the earth to take energy from the solar stream the way we do. So things sort of sucked for you, and I guess for them, and that's why they use time traveling to make money.

Luckily this means that they produce business reports regarding how their time travel businesses work

Which is a real help tracking what's going on. It seems from reading these that there is not just the one time machine that we first supposed, but what other machines they have is not actually defined in the report.

We urgently need to figure this part out, so we're talking up a potential mission where me, Sausalito and Jambón Pentameter will go back to investigate. Pretty exciting stuff. I need to run some things by my Theoripute and Malburger before going though.

Nervé also says he wants to go, but I don't think that's smart - he only has one body. If he dies then what? No more Nervé. Haven't told him yet, hope he understands it's for his own good.

OK I'm heading out to my Theoripute Appointment, until next time I remain your friend
