When your situation requires deeper evaluation, treatment decisions, or medication refills, a Counsel physician can join the conversation with a single click. You can connect with one of our doctors usually in under 15 minutes during our clinical hours (8am to 9pm, 7 days/week), ensuring you get trusted answers with the safety and oversight only a licensed provider can deliver.
Other chatbots can’t connect to your medical records to provide personalized advice. They’re also not trained on the latest evidence-based research and can’t bring a physician into the conversation. With Counsel, you get medical-grade AI support backed by physician oversight, ensuring safe, high-quality care.
Yes, Counsel physicians can prescribe medications if appropriate. Of note, we do
not prescribe controlled substances.
Today, we recommend maintaining an in-person PCP for annual physicals,
vaccinations, and ongoing management of chronic conditions. However, Counsel
can serve as your first point of contact for nearly everything else, from everyday
health questions and medical advice to lab testing, urgent care, and more.
Counsel is only available to individuals 18+. We don't support Pediatrics yet, but
we'll provide an update when it is available.
Counsel is currently available to individuals in all U.S. states except the following:
Arkansas, District of Columbia, Kansas, Mississippi, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin.
If you live in one of these states, you’ll be placed on our waitlist, and we’ll notify
you as soon as Counsel becomes available in your area.
Counsel can guide you on everyday health concerns, but if you’re experiencing a
potentially life-threatening condition, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room
immediately.
At Counsel, your privacy always comes first. We are both HIPAA and SOC 2
compliant, with the highest standards in security and encryption. We never sell
your data nor do we use it to train any AI models. We only connect to your medical records with your consent and use your information solely to deliver safe, personalized care.
Counsel does not require you to have health insurance. That means you can
access our doctors anytime, without restrictions or prior approvals. We keep
things simple with one low, transparent price of $29 for each 7-day visit, which is
less than most insurance copays.

If you believe your privacy rights have been violated, you may file a complaint with Counsel by contacting us at the email above. You will not be penalized for filing a complaint.
