Show HN: Insinuate – tense description party game

you need

• at least four players
• sitting together in person
• and one phone

split the players into two or more teams. everyone should sit together in one circle, with team members distributed evenly rather than clustered together - alternating is best.

each round, a category is chosen (you could cycle through them or just choose randomly). the player with the phone taps when they're ready, and must describe any of the prompts on the card to their teammates without using any of the words in the prompt.

as soon as someone guesses correctly, the describer passes the phone to the person on their left. that person then taps the screen to get a new set of prompts and describes one of them, again passing to the left once they're done.

this goes on and on. after a random length of time, the phone will explode loudly - the round is now over. whoever's holding the phone loses the round and their team loses a life.

teams start with ten lives. the last team left wins.
