Show HN: Is Anyrouter.top Legit? Testing Free Claude API Credits for Developers

4 months ago 6

The whole of Twitter and Reddit has been buzzing with excitement over how impressive Claude, especially the Claude Code CLI. The downside? Claude can be extremely expensive if you’re working on a large project. Even with a Pro account at $20/month, you can easily burn through the included credits in a single day.

I started noticing people on Reddit and Twitter talking about Anyrouter.top, claiming they offer free credits for Claude’s API. Naturally, I was skeptical, but curious.

So, I headed over to their site, signed up using my GitHub account, and to my surprise, I was credited with $110 worth of API credits.

Next I head over to Anyrouter.top and get my API Token

and head over to Windsurf to test out the key securely:

And to my surprise… It actually works and I could see how many tokens it used and how much it did cost me.

There is no clear rate limiting or restricitons of usage provided as of now and since it’s a very new site, I will proceed with caution.

If you’re new to Claude Code CLI and want to test it with your Anyrouter API key, these resources can help:

Anyrouter.top offers an affiliate program where currently they offer a $50 bonus to you and the friend you refer to for using their app. It’s completely free.

If you want free credits just sign up using MY link: https://anyrouter.top/register?aff=qb7C

After signing up you should have about $110 USD worth credits to use Claude models.

It is possible that they run this promotion for a very limited time, so good luck!

I’ve personally tried it, and it does appear to work. The API behaves as expected, and the affiliate system also worked when I had a friend sign up.

However, I strongly advise against sharing any personal or sensitive information while using their platform. The service lacks transparency, there’s no visible team or contact support, and they are not officially associated with Anthropic.

Use it for testing purposes only, and proceed with caution. If this service is legitimate and manages to gain funding or establish official ties, it could become a solid resource.

But for now, treat it like an experiment. Good luck building!
