Show HN: LayoffStory-Share your layoff experience anonymously and support others

Hi HN,

I’m Eslam, a software engineer and product builder based in Munich. After being laid off from Workday earlier this year, I realized how isolating and shameful layoffs can feel, even though they are more common than ever.

That’s why I built LayoffStory, a safe space for people to anonymously share their layoff experiences, support one another, and reduce the stigma.

You can: • Share your own story (anonymously or not) • Upvote stories that resonate with you • Comment or show support (“This helped me”, “I relate”) • by tags (industry, region, etc.)

I’m looking for brutally honest feedback. What do you like? What is confusing? What would you improve?

I built it with React, Supabase, and Tailwind, and I’m planning to open-source it soon. I’m also exploring future features like career coaching and AI-based emotional support.
