The conventional narrative about artificial intelligence is deeply flawed. Just as Standard Oil controlled drilling, refining, and transport, OpenAI is building an industrial stack spanning:

Land valuation will shift. Fiber proximity, cooling potential, and energy rights will matter more than downtown walkability. We’re going back to the land—but this time for bandwidth and BTUs.

It’s an industrial complex for artificial cognition—a vertically integrated, energy-intensive, geopolitically embedded infrastructure play that marks the beginning of the AI Industrial Age.
