Dear customers,

It is with great regret that we inform you about the imminent end of spexor operations on July 1, 2025.

Regrettably, demand for spexor products fell significantly short of expectations, which led to sales being ceased on March 31, 2023. The costs for the ongoing operation and app updates – especially due to our high quality and security standards – are unfortunately therefore no longer in proportion to demand.

What does that mean?

End of operation: The spexor servers will be shut down on July 1, 2025. As a result, your spexor and the associated apps cannot be used remotely or with Wi-Fi from this point on. This means it will no longer be possible to use it.
Expiring subscriptions: As already announced in our email dated May 7, 2024, existing subscriptions (eSIM, fire gas detection, pollen pollution and outdoor air quality) will expire on June 30, 2025. An extension is no longer possible.
Data erasure: In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), your data will be irrevocably erased on July 1, 2025.

2019: Six years ago, our small team within a large corporation embarked on a journey with big ambitions and a vision – to bring a small helper with a significant impact to the market. Just a year later, the vision became tangible reality: the first customers held spexor in their hands – a mobile security assistant that protects what is important to them, allowing them to enjoy a worry-free daily life. From the very beginning, we poured all our knowledge, energy, and passion into spexor to offer a smart and technically sophisticated product.
March 2023: After reviewing the market situation and the associated market conditions, it was decided to cease the sale of the spexor product as of March 31, 2023. The spexor product could still be purchased until the end of March 2023.
May 2024: spexor will discontinue in-app purchases for fire detection, pollen load, and outdoor air quality, as well as the eSIM extension. These in-app purchases could still be made until May 15, 2024, and could be used without restrictions for a full year until June 30, 2025.
July 2025: As of July 1, 2025, the spexor servers will be shut down. This means that your spexor and the associated app will no longer be usable, either via mobile or Wi-Fi. Therefore, no usage will be possible.

Break-in detection

spexor’s various sensors constantly scan its environment.

The moment spexor detects a break-in, it can either trigger an acoustic alarm reaching up to 90 dB (A) and an LED light signal or inform you discreetly, depending on which setting you choose. In either case, spexor immediately sends a notification to your smartphone via the mobile network or an existing Wi-Fi connection. You now have the option of calling the emergency services or disabling the alarm directly from the app.

To enable spexor’s sensors to adapt even better to each environment, make sure you assign a profile for every location that you use it in. The sensors will then be set up differently depending on which profile has been activated and spexor will adapt to the environmental conditions of its location. Find out how to set the location here. spexor can automatically activate and disable the break-in detection according to your personal schedule, which you can specify in the app at your convenience. Alternatively, you can integrate spexor into your smart home via our public interface or using the Home Connect Plus app. Both options allow you to adapt spexor’s surveillance to your individual routine. If you enter the monitored area (e.g. your garage) at a certain time of the day, you can set spexor up accordingly to avoid a false alarm being triggered. You can also quickly activate and disable spexor via Bluetooth whenever you’re nearby.

GPS position request

In addition, location data can be determined via the GPS module. At the same time, you can request the location of your camper at any time via GPS positioning.

Moreover, the selection of the location has an influence on the transmission of the GPS data: If you select a fixed location such as your home or garden shed, spexor will use the address you enter, as there is often only a poor GPS signal available indoors.

Only when choosing a mobile location, such as your car, spexor uses GPS data without a stored address. Therefore it is important to select your correct location when you are on the road.

But if you are on the road with your camper, it makes sense to select the mobile location.

Temperature alarm

Extreme temperatures in winter and summer are often a potential hazard. Whether it’s for your four-legged friend waiting in your motorhome, the plants growing in your greenhouse or the water pipes in your cellar, spexor notifies you when the room temperature exceeds or falls below a value you have specified. This enables you to act in time to prevent your plants from freezing, for example. Use the app to define the temperature level at which spexor should send you a notification. The temperature limits range from -10°C to +60°C.

spexor’s air quality sensor, which has been designed to detect all kinds of pollutants, analyses the composition of the air every 30 seconds with detective-level precision. It picks up on even the finest impurities which the human organism can’t detect but which can affect health

As soon as its sensors register critical values, you’ll be alerted by an LED light signal and a notification in the app. Once the air quality reaches an optimum value, the LED light ring turns green, meaning you can breathe easy again. The app also gives you recommendations on how to keep indoor air healthy.
