This is not a publication where someone passionately yells from the rooftops about Artificial Intelligence giving us more time to be human and creative and machines doing everything else boring and mundane.

This is not a publication where someone passionately yells from the rooftops that we’re all going to die because Skynet becomes self-aware at 2:14pm on August 29th, either.

You see, what everyone is passionately not telling you is that you have a choice in the matter.

And in this place, I want to passionately try to reinforce this message while at the same time exploring what may happen and what we can do about it.

I’m going to attempt to cover a lot of ground.

  • questions about the nature of work

  • questions about the future of education

  • questions about the destruction of organisational hierarchy

  • questions about the false hope of universal basic income

  • questions about the shape of society

It’s all interconnected - and this is the issue when you think about artificial intelligence - it doesn’t just touch one thing, it’s pervasive and invasive across the fabric of our civilisation, across every sector.

Except for the birth of the internet and the World Wide Web has there been anything else that has captured the attention of people, businesses, and governments globally and so fast?

A big problem is that there are so many voices out there with opinions, most of them full of shit.

I say this with some conviction having spent a large part of my professional career charting trends and their impacts, writing about them, and speaking about them on stage. And never pulling punches.

A vast majority hop from trend to trend with no real knowledge or understanding, changing their stance according to the size of the invoice they can garner.

They are, for all intents and purposes, merely product marketers to the highest bidders.

This place is the antithesis.

The Post-Human Revolution is a place that not only concerns itself with having to scope out these structural and global changes - whether it be on a corporate level, personal level or community level - it’s going to highlight what we need to do to overthrow the parts that dehumanise society.
