Watch how to play:
Or read the rules:
Guess the day's 6 words in 6 tries.
The 6 words are made up of: 1 horizontal and 5 vertical words.
Vertical words start with the letters of the horizontal word.
E.G: if the horizontal word is ABOUT, the vertical words begin with A, B, O, U, and T.
After each guess, your horizontal word will appear like this:
A B O U T
This means A is in the correct spot and O is in the wrong spot in the horizontal word.
Vertical words appear in column order at the bottom and also use colour feedback like so:
arise
boast
overt
under
total
This example shows that O must be the 4th letter of the horizontal word, and the first letter of the 4th vertical word. This is because
arise
has A in the right spot and O is incorrect for all the vertical words except for the 4th.
Note: The 3rd vertical word does NOT contain O. The O in ABOUT only refers to the horizontal word.
Vertical words also provide colour clues for each letter of the horizontal word like so:
AE - These letters can’t be the horizontal letter you are currently guessing because they aren't in the vertical word.
AE - These letters might be the horizontal letter you are currently guessing because they are GOLD in the vertical word.
