NYC LOCAL NEWS - The NYPD is looking for a real ghoul who slashed a teen’s face shortly after Halloween ended. The attacker slashed the teen in the heart of Times Square.
According to the NYPD, the assault happened at around 1:30 a.m. on November 1, 2025, right outside 3 Times Square. Investigators say an 18-year-old man was standing in the area when an unknown individual walked up, slashed him across the face with some kind of cutting instrument, and then took off running down 7th Avenue.
Officers quickly arrived at the scene and rushed the victim to Mount Sinai West. Thankfully, police say he’s in stable condition.
The attacker, however, is still out there. The NYPD has released photos of the suspect and is hoping someone recognizes him.
The attack sent shockwaves throughout midtown Manhattan considering the location is the site of a Chase and the Reuters news agency and is well lit by a slew of billboards. In addition cops had been deployed at the time throughout Times Square to prevent any Halloween violence.
The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket, dark jeans and white sneakers. Investigators are still trying to determine a motive for the slashing, which, at this time, appears to be random.
