The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff has issued an exemption from the requirement in NRC regulations that would otherwise require the application for renewal of Facility Operating License No. NFP-58 for Perry Nuclear Power Plant, Unit No. 1, to be referred to the Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards for a review and report, with any report being made part of the record of the application and made available to the public, except to the extent that security classification prevents disclosure.

The exemption was issued on July 7, 2025.
