They watch it on TikTok — in 23-second chunks, algorithmically delivered, stripped of context, optimized for punchline. They have favorite characters but have never seen an episode. That’s not a bug — it’s the new format.
Meanwhile, adults don’t read articles anymore. We ask ChatGPT. Or Perplexity. Or Google “What’s the fastest way to get to Tahoe without chains?”
The medium is compressing. Again.
This time, it’s not from websites to feeds.
It’s from feeds to agents.
From articles to answers.
