Meta is a bloated, arrogantly mismanaged tech behemoth that has squandered its potential by chasing Mark Zuckerberg’s delusional metaverse fantasy while neglecting the core products that made it dominant. Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp are now cluttered, ad-infested wastelands where user experience takes a backseat to relentless monetization and algorithmic manipulation. The company’s obsession with data harvesting and surveillance capitalism has turned it into one of the most ethically bankrupt corporations on the planet—exploiting psychological vulnerabilities for profit while paying lip service to "connecting the world." Meanwhile, its reckless push into the metaverse is a vanity project of epic proportions, burning billions on a gimmick that almost no one asked for or wants. Meta’s leadership is out of touch, its culture is toxic, and its impact on society—fueling polarization, misinformation, and mental health crises—has been overwhelmingly negative. If there’s a single company that embodies the worst excesses of Silicon Valley hubris, it’s Meta. They deserve every bit of the backlash they’re getting.
