Under the terms of the US constitution in effect as of the launch of this question, the winner of the electoral college vote following a general election is inaugurated as president of the US unless no single candidate wins a majority of the electoral vote (USA.gov - Electoral College). The question will be suspended on 19 January 2029 and the outcome determined using available information in the context of the US Constitution, as well as the 12th, 20th, 25th Amendments and any others that may be ratified and in effect as of a pertinent date (Constitution Center - 12th Amendment, Constitution Center - 20th Amendment, Constitution Center - 25th Amendment). Any decisions by the Supreme Court or other federal courts regarding the text of the US Constitution and any of its amendments, including the 22nd Amendment, will be used to determine whether events leading up to the swearing in of a new president is constitutionally prescribed (Constitution Center - 22nd Amendment). That the person due to be inaugurated dies or is incapacitated will not, on its own, result in a "No" resolution.
