Windows Broken Start Menu for Accessibility

4 months ago 18

Steps to reproduce:

Use NVDA to go to the start menu, try searching for something, and make sure you are on Windows 11, 24H2, and have the latest updates installed.

Actual behavior:

NVDA usually works consistently here, but sometimes it suddenly goes into scan mode and asks me how to filter the suggestions, and when I click on any of these options, NVDA completely freezes. NVDA doesn't talk at all unless I restart it.

Expected behavior:

NVDA should work consistently here, not suddenly switch to scanning mode and not freeze in filter options.
