Word Vomits (2012-2025)

Hi, I’m Visa.

@1000wordvomits is my personal project to write 1,000 stream-of-consciousness, unedited essays of at least 1,000 words each. I call them word vomits.

It’s vaguely inspired by the 10,000 hour rule, and by that story about the pottery class divided into quality vs quantity.

I’m previously updated this page in April 2019. It just occurred to me that I should put together a list of what I think are the best word vomits worth reading and sharing. Here they are.

I’m now updating this again in November 2019, and it’s occurring to me that I ought to be clear about what I am doing here. I think there are 3 primary reasons I do this – to write, to learn about myself, and to be useful to others.
