Save YouTube videos to NotebookLM with AI summaries. Organize by topic, revisit insights, and turn casual viewing into structured learning.
If you’ve been using YouTube Summary with AI, you already know how easy it is to get instant video summaries and key takeaways without watching the entire video.
But what if you want to go beyond just summaries — to collect videos, organize them by topic, and come back later to ask deeper questions?
That’s where NotebookLM Integration comes in.
With this feature, your YouTube experience transforms from casual viewing into a structured research workflow — where every video becomes part of a knowledge base you can revisit, query, and explore.
Why NotebookLM Integration Changes Everything
NotebookLM (by Google) is designed to help you turn scattered content into structured insights — think of it as a personal research assistant that never forgets.
By combining it with YouTube Summary with AI, you get:
Instant Video Collection: Save videos to a notebook directly from YouTube while you watch.
Topic-Based Organization: Keep everything grouped by theme — perfect for courses, projects, or research topics.
Centralized Summaries: Each video you save can include AI-generated summaries and transcripts, making it easier to revisit later.
Deep Research Mode: Inside NotebookLM, you can ask questions across all saved videos, get synthesized answers, or even generate new summaries and insights from multiple sources at once.
Time-Saving Workflow: No more hunting through watch history or bookmarks — your learning is organized and searchable.
This integration turns passive watching into active learning and helps you connect ideas between videos — something that’s nearly impossible with just YouTube’s built-in playlist feature.
How It Works
Here’s what makes this feature so powerful:
1. NotebookLM Configure in 1-Click
Inside NotebookLM Config page, click Open NotebookLM to connect your NotebookLM account.
Sign in: Use your Google account and create at least one project
Connect: Come back here and click “Refresh” — your account will auto-connect
Select Project: Choose your active project from the dropdown
2. Add Youtube Videos to NotebookLM Without Leaving YouTube
While watching a video, just click the NotebookLM button in the right sidebar or above the thumbnails. Each click instantly saves the video into your selected notebook — no need to switch tabs or copy links manually.
3. Review
When you’re done adding videos, head back to NotebookLM and open the notebook. All the videos that you have added in a one place
4. Ask, Summarize, and Explore
Once your notebook is ready, you can use NotebookLM to ask questions, get AI-generated summaries, or explore deeper insights based on everything you’ve collected.
