If you’ve been reading our Substack since April 9th, then you’ll recognize the subtitle we use under our numbered news update posts:
“Never forget: Trump and his team are manufacturing internal crisis and economic collapse in order to use the military to control the population.”
Sadly, today could very possibly the day the “internal crisis” is manufactured.
As most you probably know, there are over 1,800 protests scheduled for today. These protests have been organized as peaceful demonstrations of the deep dissatisfaction (to put it tactfully) that most Americans have with Donald Trump and his Administration’s violation of Constitutional rights and norms.
However, the far right has been very active in the past few weeks, also planning for today’s events.
Far right extremist message boards, Telegram channels and sites are urging their followers to arm up and make trouble at protests.
They have even been compiling dossiers on organizing leaders and other prominent citizens that may be in attendance.

Local chapters of WLM (White Lives Matter), The Proud Boys and other extremists have been stirring up their members to "stop communism" and the "brown invaders" etc.
The most active chapters thus far appear to be Utah, Tennessee, Ohio, Indiana and a few other states but not all chapters are formally known to us.
The Proud Boys are calling today Operation Skid Mark.
Operation Skid Mark, per Ohio Proud Boys = “Green means go. Red means stop. Leftist protester means: floor it!”

Please make sure to be safe today and take care of each other. Remember, peaceful and passive resistance, even in the face of violence and retaliation, is the best optics the world can see and reinforces just how dangerous Trump and his most extreme followers are.
